Preview – E3 2012 – 3DS

Nintendo said they needed more time than their hour could provide.  So they had a showcase on their site, and on site, just for the 3DS

Castlevania Lord of Shadows: Mirror of Fate

They opened with this trailer, show Simon Belmont giving his son a small piece of mirror.  Now his son Trevor Belmont, the main character, is trying to avenge his murdered mother while discovering the secret of the Mirror andfinding out what’s so special about being a Belmont.  This 3D side scrolling platformer is out in Fall 2012

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

Luigi is back with multiple mansions, and a crap load of ghosts.  With new secrets, new gears and new scares, the Green Brother is in for an all new adventure.

New Super Mario Bros. 2

Your goal in this game is to reach a million coins.  In this game coins are EVERYWHERE and while the story is still unknown, you gold is to get them all.  Even mario’s new power up is based around coins.  The Golden fire flower allows Mario to shoot fire and make everything i touches turn to gold.  This game also mark the return of the Racoon tail and the ability to FLY!!  A new feature, for the portable version, allows you to play entire single player game with a buddy like the Wii Version.

A new mode is Gold Rush!  Using Street pass, you get three levels from your friends.  Using only one life, you must get through the level quickly and with more coins then your friend did.

This game can be bought completely from the Nintendo Network on launch Day!

Paper Mario: Sticker Star

The other announced Mario game is a 3D-2D Paper Mario Game.  Yes…say that over in your mind a couple times.  This world is in trouble because Bowser has stolen the Six magic stickers of the land and spread thousand more all across the world.

Stickers are everything in this game, like a collectable card game they allow you to choose your moves for attacks, and even effect the world.  There are also Real World Items lost in the paper world that if you find you can pick up and place them elsewhere to affect the rest of the world.  While this is still an RPG you do not get exp from battle.  EXP is given by doing chores and helping people across the world.  – Holiday 2012

Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion

This 3DS game is not sequel or port but a totally new adventure.  Previously Wastland has been forgotten film character from Disney, but now it has forgotten Disney Video Games stuff as well; bringing back the classic Castle of Illusion in this new iteration.  The villain, Mizrabel, has hatched a scheme to escape Wastland and tear into the animated world.

In this game you use the power of Paint and Thinner (from the original game) but this time you draw and erase, to affect the world, on the second screen.

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance

This game, out on July 31st 2012, only came with a trailer and brief talk about a smoother combat.  In the tailer we saw Quasimodo and Esmeralda, Mickey, Donalad, Goofy and Sora in their Three Musketeers costumes.  Pinocchio made a return, as did Rikku, acting as what could be seen as the personal guard for Queen Minnie, who seems to be playing a more important role (Rikku seems to be playable) and we even say Flynn, Sam, and Quorra from Tron: Legacy.

Scribblenauts: Unlimited

For the first time on a 3DS we have Scribblenauts.  The trailer boast that we will finally learn Maxwell’s Story

Pokemon Black/White 2

This game will return to Unova 2 years after the first game.  While this game is being designed for the DS there will be extras for 3DS players including tie in with downloadable programs Pokemon Dream Radar and Pokedex 3D Pro.

3rd Party Games

They threw a montage of upcoming 3rd party games out in 2012 including Heroes of Ruin (Square Enix), Transformers Prime: The Game, Rabbid Rumbles and Lego Batman 2: DC Heroes (Which has a demo on the network as of today)
