The Transporter series, starting Jason Statham, was thought to be over after the Third movie but the franchise is getting new life on the small screen.

Cinemax is making a TV version of The Transporter and this week the two leads were cast.  Chris Vance (Prison Break, Dexter, Burn Notice), is replacing Jason as the new Frank Martin.  Andrea Osvart will play his CIA handler – Carla.  “an extremely crafty former CIA operative who organizes his missions, acts as his eyes and ears on the outside, and continually stokes the flames of their unrequited attraction.”

The series, which is keeping both its film’s producer, Luc Besson, and stunt team has been signed on for 13 episodes.
