First Photos from Walking Dead TV Show
After a month of filming, we finally have our first look at the assembled cast of “The Walking Dead.” The show, which will debut with a six episode first season in October on AMC, is the small screen adaptation of the long running black and white zombie comic by Robert Kirkman.
From left to right, the characters are Amy (Emma Bell), Shane (Jon Bernthal), Glenn (Steven Yuen), Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Dale (Jefferey DeMunn) and Andrea (Laurie Holden).
“They start filming episode four in a few days,” said Robert Kirkman. “So they’re trucking along and all I can really say is that everyone has been a dream to work with. Frank [Darabont] is doing amazing work, Gale [Anne Hurd] is just awesome at what she does and AMC has been a real treat to work with. This show is something unlike anything that’s ever been on television before. I think people are just going to flip out when they see what we’ve done here.
Kirkman also reiterated that he is writing the fourth episode and offered his take on the process.
“It was a pretty cool experience,” related Kirkman. “I got the chance to work in an actual writer’s room with series writers Chic Eglee, Jack LoGiudice and Adam Fierro and it’s been a real treat getting to learn the process and see how it all works. I also got direct guidance from Frank Darabont himself, which is really just priceless. He’s such a talented screenwriter, his advice should be written on stone tablets and have religions based on it.”
“AMC is such an amazing network,” continued Kirkman. “They’ve had two major successes in ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ and they’ve expanded at a very slow, deliberate rate . . . it’s pretty unusual. I was thrilled they were interested in ‘The Walking Dead,’ and now that I know a lot of the other things they’re developing for other new shows, I think the network is just going to continue to get better and better. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of their network.”

Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe Crossover
After nearly two years since their cancelation some of the “Stargate Atlantis” crew are now set to return in an upcoming episode of “Stargate Universe.”
“Stargate Universe” executive producer Joseph Mallozzi recently confirmed the much anticipated crossover on his blog.
“With word from producer John G. Lenic that the deals have been closed on those ‘Atlantis’ alums, we can now move forward on the script, secure in the knowledge that both extra-special guest stars will actually be on hand to say the dialogue written for specifically for them,” wrote Mallozzi. “Great news for fans of the old series. There was a reluctance to move ahead with an ‘SGA’ crossover, particularly on my part, because the feeling was it would step on the timing of the ‘SGA’ movie, ‘Stargate: Extinction,’ the events of which directly proceed the ‘Atlantis’ series finale, ‘Enemy at the Gate.'”
“But given the delay on the movie front and the ideal premise pitched out by Remi Aubuchon and Brad Wright, it was decided to go ahead with the crossover,” continued Mallozzi. “Not a big deal, but it will require some changes to the ‘Stargate: Extinction’ timeline which, in turn, will beg a host of questions, some of which will be answered in episode #15, some of which won’t… at least not right away.”
