As soon as I learn any new about Torchwood I post it here for you guys, partially because I know you want the info as much as I do, but also because I just need to tell someone.

In a recent interview with digital spy, RTD revealed some more details about the upcoming show.

New Information:

The show will take place 2 years after Children of earth.

• “Torchwood will have been off-air for two years, so I think it will feel like two years have passed.  The script isn’t that specific about it, but I think that two-year gap feels right.” – RTD

Children of Earth is the template for the new Torchwood

• “Children of Earth left things almost format-less.  They had no base, no authority and no mission… except to survive. They’re very much underground [now] and trying to survive. They’ve taken extreme actions. They have friends, they have enemies and they have betrayals.” – RTD

Plans to shoot on scene in LA are as of yet UNCOMFIRMED

• “Any place can double up as a number of places. There will be scenes set in Washington, certainly, but we won’t go to Washington to shoot.” – RTD

So with Torchwood no longer having its ‘above the law’ status, and instead acting like a group on the run, it will be great to see the new show take off.
