Today at Nintendo’s press briefing, the publisher announced a slew of new titles for its new portable device, the 3DS, as well as the Wii.

Later, at Nintendo’s round table it was confirmed for release that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will arrive in 3D, on the 3DS.

No scheduled release date was announced.

For many years the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Oot) has been wildly accepted as the best Zelda game if not the best game ever.  The original version, released November 23 1998 on the Nintendo 64 (12 years ago), shook the gaming world to its core.  The game, which won numerous acclaim and game of the years awards, has yet to be remade but has been re-released on the Nintendo Gamecube and again on the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console.
