Spider Notes: Cover Release – Part 4

With the release of To Money and a TV only 15 days away (December 1st, 2015), I’ve decided to build up some hype by doing a cover release.

So what happens is for the next five day I release a little more of what the final cover will look like.

Enjoy!

Spider Notes: Never Been to Mars Sequel

authormkToday is my birthday, Happy Birthday to me!!!

For my birthday  I want a massive party with massive amounts of booze and celebs but I’ll probably end up celebrating it like I normally do (See Left). I rarely get what I want.  That being said I do get the chance to announce the release date for my next book.

On DECEMBER 1st, 2015 my next book, the follow-up to my award winning debut Never Been to Marswill be released.  It will be titled To Money and a TV!

Here is the back cover synopsis:

My name is Benedict Thompson and I am a superhero. With a single touch I can read an item’s past. I can tell you who used that pen before you, I can describe how that shoe was made and I can describe everything that has been done on that motel room bed.

Not every superpower is a blessing.

Benedict has never been the same since coming home from Iraq but he’s getting better. He’s rejoined the lives of his family, he’s keeping busy with work, he has a kinda-sorta-but-not-really girlfriend and his Netflix queue has just expanded. Everything’s coming up Benedict.

When an evil movie quoting sniper starts taunting him over the phone, Benedict gets worried.

When the sniper starts killing people and leaving items from Benedict’s past at the crime scene, Benedict gets scared.

When his kinda-sorta-but-not-really girlfriend wants to have the relationship talk, Benedict get terrified.

Benedict already misses his TV.

Web Con: Larry Gent Appearing at Nerdcon 2015

Web-Con: Twas The Night Before Hal-Con

Twas the Night Before Hal-Con
By Larry Gent

A poem about the last minute Con Woes.

Twas the night before Hal-Con, and all thro the city

Every creature was stirring, especially the committee

The costumes were hung in the closest with care,

In hopes that tomorrow would soon be there;

The cosplayers were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of excitement danc’d in their heads,

When from the other room there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

The helmet had fallen and crashed to the floor

Taking damage only seen from a great war.

The stitching had failed and my cloak was undone

And I stood there staring with a look of pure stun.

This cosplay had been months of hard work,

It had driven me mad and sent me berserk.

I could not sew when all this had began,

And none of this project had proceeded as planned.

It started as clothe and evolved into foam.

I embroidered, and painted and even used chrome.

The cost had tripled from my initial budget

And my family had questioned my better judgement.

But I pressed onwards until it was done

Because deep down I found it all fun.

I took a deep breath, and reached for my kit,

I glanced at my suit and figured a refit.

I stared at my costume as the moon glowed bright

Happy, Hal-Con to all but I ain’t sleeping tonight.
